5. Cultural Center
In 1939, a recreation house, which is now the Cultural Center, a bath house and swimming pool, designed by prominent New York architect William Ward Watkin, were constructed at the park. Currently, the Cultural Center includes an auditorium, a meeting rooms, offices, a food serving station, and a build-out space for a food concession. This facility has been used since for children’s after-school and summer programs, community meetings, classes for youth and adults, lectures, workshops, events, and other community educational and informational activities. It is among several facilities on the park grounds that is available for public rental.
