EPC Health and Wellness 5K

EPC Health and Wellness 5K Run/Walk is a signature, annual outdoor event created as a platform to address chronic health conditions in the African American community including heart disease, diabetes, obesity and hypertension. The event provides an opportunity for participants to be active while also learning about healthy living topics such as preventive care, exercising and mindful diet choices from community health partners in Third Ward.

  Event Info: Saturday, June 13th; 10a-5p; Emancipation Park Blurb: Juneteenth Celebration is a signature, annual outdoor event that celebrates the rich history and legacy of Emancipation Park. The event commemorates the anniversary of former slaves’ emancipation which was on ‘Juneteenth’, June 19, 1865. It also preserves their traditions of unity, music, dance, and African American commerce.
