A community celebration of agriculture, healthy living, free plants, education/demos building stronger neighborhoods at Emancipation Park.

Greening of Third Ward & Beyond 2026

Join us on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at Emancipation Park for a community-wide celebration of growing food, healthy living, local agriculture, and stronger neighborhoods.

The Greening of Third Ward & Beyond brings together residents, gardeners, farmers, community organizations, volunteers, families, and urban agriculture advocates for a hands-on day focused on helping people grow more of their own food and connect with the people growing food locally.

Building on the success of our 2025 event, which welcomed more than 2,000 people, this year’s Greening will expand the experience with more plants, more trees, more farmers, more demonstrations, and more opportunities to learn.
