Biography

Ramon Manning is the founder and CEO of Partners Energy North America (PENA), a leading power and natural gas supplier. Partners Energy supplies commercial and industrial customers and assists in formulating plans and customizing solutions to manage energy costs and risk in today’s deregulated marketplace.

A native Houstonian, Manning earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a Marketing concentration from Texas Southern University in 1997. While attending Texas Southern, Manning was a four- year football letterman and a member of the golf team. Upon graduation, he began his career on the upstream side of the energy industry at Instrument Products, an oil field services company. While at Instrument Products, Manning was responsible for energy market analysis, developing marketing strategies and new business for the oil and gas firm.

Having a strong desire to participate in the entrepreneur space and recognizing the critical void of competitive pricing in the deregulated energy market, Manning formed Partners Energy North America (PENA). PENA’s mission is to become the preferred power and natural gas supplier for commercial and industrial businesses. The firm’s Texas Operations currently include commercial and industrial customers, and municipalities, with expansion to other regional markets planned by fourth quarter 2014. PENA, provides a total energy management package, bringing extensive experience in commercial utilities, natural gas marketing, and energy cost management to its clients. PENA’s services include energy procurement, strategy development, portfolio management, renewable energy consulting, energy conservation and efficiency, and aggressive contract negotiations to achieve the most affordable, reliable energy options for its clients.

Manning is a member of the Gulf Coast Power Association (GCPA), the American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE), Young Professionals in Energy (YPE), the National Energy Services Organization (NESO), the Greater Houston Partnership, and the National Minority Supplier Development Council.
