Did you know one in six Black men will develop prostate cancer in his lifetime? That is why getting screened is so important for our community. Houston Methodist is partnering with 100 Black Men of Metropolitan Houston, African American Male Wellness Agency, CoolxDad, Emancipation Park Conservancy, Fountain of Praise and Project Row Houses to empower Black men to take action!
We are offering free prostate cancer screenings on Sat. – Sep. 30 – 9 am to 1 pm at Emancipation Park Conservancy, 3018 Emancipation Ave., Houston, TX 77004. On site, you will receive a PSA test, which is a blood test primarily used to screen for prostate cancer and enjoy a community health fair. Visit bit.ly/3P81FlM to register and learn more.
Park users near and far enjoy the park with their families and participate in our various activities, programs and events. Your financial contribution is more than just a donation, your one-time or monthly gift will empower Emancipation Park Conservancy in our mission to restore, manage, and enhance Emancipation Park. Your support will mean a great deal to us and ensures that future generations will benefit from the park for years to come.
