Biography

Yvette is a 20 year veteran with Chevron, initially starting her career with Texaco as a college intern in 1991.  After completing her studies in Marketing at The University of Texas at Austin, she had the opportunity to serve in several functional capacities in the midstream business in natural gas scheduling, natural gas storage capacity trading, and strategic planning. Yvette currently is employed as the Organizational Capability Programs Manager for Chevron Midstream and Development, located in Houston, Texas.  Her role is responsible for building organizational capability around commercial skills, facilitating the strategy for training and development programs, and delivering strategic staffing analytics to drive business results. Yvette volunteers her time, talent, and resources in several capacities, serving on the Houston Advisory Board for Best Buddies Texas (an organization that advocates for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities); Vice President of Programs for the Houston (TX) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated; Technology Chairman for The Western Area of The Links, Incorporated, International Technology Committee Member – Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated; and 22 years of consecutive service in the Mu Kappa Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, having served as one of its former chapter presidents. She is the proud godmother of Ms. Halle Williams (17), Ms. Madison Riles (13), and Mr. Logan Franklin (1).
